Oriental Precision & Engineering signs a 30-million-dollar deal with Hyundai Heavy Industries.
Oriental Precision & Engineering (“OPCO”) has signed a 30-million-dollar contract with Hyundai Heavy Industries, one of OPCO’s major clients. The deal involves delivering several different marine vessel components including the deckhouse, the engine room casing, and the funnel by the end of December, 2011.
As the shipbuilding market was recovering from a slump toward the end of 2010, the shipbuilders started to receive sizeable number of orders. During this period, OPCO has dedicated its effort to provide satisfying production solutions to all its clients, and the deal with Hyundai was this year’s first fruit of OPCO’s business endeavor.
Experts have claimed that the global shipbuilding market is picking up and is now on the rise; and OPCO will make its best endeavors to cease the opportunity and win more business and orders for the rest of 2011.
