OPCO wins a “Hidden Champion” title at IR EXPO.
Oriental Precision & Engineering (“OPCO” hereinafter) has participated in Public Companies IR EXPO. The exhibition was held at COEX in Seoul, on the 5th of November, and lasted for three days.
The exhibition is hosted by KRX, or Korea Exchange, and this year marks the fifth anniversary of IR EXPO. About 166 publically listed companies participated in the expo, and the show was visited by investors and investment analysts from all around the world. The record indicates that there were about 2,000 business meetings between the participating companies and the investors; and about 20 business and promotion meetings were arranged between OPCO and the investors during the exhibition.
The show floor was categorized into four different zones: the Green Growth Zone, the Green Financial Institutions Zone, the Hidden Champions Zone, and the ETF Zone. OPCO booth was located in the Hidden Champions Zone; and this zone housed 22 companies whose market shares rank first, second, or third, but the public knows little about. OPCO more than deserved the Hidden Champion title, because the company has world’s largest market share in the ship superstructure industry, and the company was recently dubbed a high performance small-capital stock by KOSDAQ. The expo is expected to bring a positive effect on OPCO’s brand and name value.
