June 12, 2009, ORIENTAL signed a contract with Dongbang about Heavy Cargo Carrier in the conference room of head quarter in Busan.

The contract signing ceremony with 10 people from ORIENTAL including Chairman Suh, President Suh and 4 persons of Dongbang including Vice Chairman Kim, Board Executive Park was held and than took a photo for commemoration.

It was quite meaningful, because it’s the first contract with a domestic ship owner in the recession of this year and it will be expected to bring animation to sales activity in domestic shipbuilding field. Moreover, The Heavy Cargo Carrier moving by itself with its power is the first product of ORIENTAL. It will be a chance to make its own position in off-shore support ship & special barge market through the project.

The Heavy Cargo Carrier has a boarding capacity for 24 persons, 11.5 knot sailing speed, 152.2m in length, 38m in width, 8m in height and KR classification. ORIENTAL named the project DBNG-H804-HCC and it’ll be delivered next September after Steel Cutting at the beginning of August.
