OPCO secures a 2-million dollar deal to deliver a living quarter module

Oriental Precision & Engineering (“OPCO”) has secured a 2-million dollar deal to deliver a living quarter module which can accommodate up to 215 crew members from Hyundai Heavy Industries (“Hyundai”). The deal amounts to 7.2% of the company’s 2010 sales of 306 million dollars. OPCO is to deliver the product to Hyundai by July 3, 2012.

The living quarter module will be 51.5M(L)×17.2M(B)×30M(H), and includes the HVNC room on the top and a helipad. Because the module will have to endure the 20 years of its projected service time, every component used to build the module will be of the highest quality and durability.

In the past OPCO has delivered three 350-man accommodation work barges that are now in service docked next to the offshore plants; and the company has successfully built and delivered the deck box for a semi-submersible oil prospecting ship platform last year.

The need for offshore accommodation structures is high, with the recent rise in the development of offshore underwater resources. OPCO has built and delivered over 1,100 deck houses in the last 20 years, and the company has the experience, know-how, and quality to provide the products sought by the industry.

OPCO has announced on June 17, 2011 that the company has won the 2.5-million dollar deal to construct three RO-RO vehicle and passenger vessels; and on the 24th OPCO has successfully delivered the Hanjin Green to Hanjin, and OPCO expects to develop a definite position in the special-purpose vessel market.
